Exterior Plant Container Installation Technician- Seasonal
GreenStone Designs is looking for a seasonal exterior plant container installation technician. This position typically starts in early April and ends in late October.
This role's primary responsibility is to perform exterior horticultural container installations at our client’s locations. This includes, but is not limited to; soil prep, planting, watering, grooming, pruning, plant cleaning and identifying pests and /or disease. The ideal candidate should have a passion for gardening and exterior containers, working in a beautiful environment and a friendly attitude.
Objectives and Responsibilities

Assisting with container planting, following container designs and specifications

Helping to pull, load and disperse jobs
-
Water plants appropriately using hose spigots with irrigation key and/or water tanks as a water source
-
Attention to detail; must be aware of drainage, accumulated water, foot traffic, surface staining, etc
-
Responsible for technically correct plant grooming, using sterilized pruners or scissors
-
Ability to recognize when to pinch/remove spent/dead flowers or foliage
-
Responsible for cleanliness of plant containers and the surrounding area
-
Ability to recognize and solve problems with minimal direction
-
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-
Landscape/Exterior plant container installation experience highly preferred.

Knowledge of common exterior plant material typically used in this region’s container designs.

Reliable transportation and comfortable navigating areas including downtown Seattle and the Eastside.

Willingness to work in all exterior environmental conditions (sun, rain, wind).

Patience.
-
Excellent time management and strong organizational skills.

Self-motivated.
-
Flexible and adapts to change easily.

Plantscape Technician
GreenStone Designs is looking for an Interior and Exterior Plantscape Technician! We are a growing company with an inspiring work environment and people who are fun to work with!
Plantscape Technicians install and maintain plants indoors, necessitating special considerations for plant selection, irrigation, fertilization and pest management. They give special attention to plant cleaning, pruning, watering and plant rotation. These specialists take particular pride in replicating outdoor green spaces indoors to offer peace, stress reduction and appreciation for people to enjoy.
